Lake Gardens is Kuala Lumpur's first large-scale recreational park. Measuring 91.6 hectares, it is located in the heart of the city and established in 1888. Lake Gardens served as place of refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city during colonial times. It contains large sculpted and manicured gardens and a host of attractions.

The National History Museum or Muzium Sejarah Nasional was the second national museum in Malaysia after the National Museum. It was located opposite Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur. As of November 2007 it is closed and the collection has been moved to the National Museum.

The Sri Mahamariamman Temple is the oldest and richest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Founded in 1873, it is situated at edge of Chinatown in Jalan Bandar (formerly High Street). In 1968, a new structure was built, featuring the ornate 'Raja Gopuram' tower in the style of South Indian temples.From its inception, the temple provided an important place of worship for early Indian immigrants and is now an important cultural and national heritage.

The Thean Hou Temple (Chinese: 天后宫; pinyin: Tiān​hòu​ gōng​; Cantonese Yale: tin1hau6 gung1; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Thian-hiō-kiong) is a landmark six-tiered Chinese temple in Kuala Lumpur. It is located on a 1.67 acres (6,760 m²) of land atop Robson Heights along Lorong Bellamy, overlooking Jalan Syed Putra (Federal Highway). It was completed in 1987 and officially opened in 1989. The property belongs to and is run by the Selangor & Federal Territory Hainan Association (Persatuan Hainan Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan). The temple, built by the Hainanese community living in Kuala Lumpur, is dedicated to Goddess Tian Hou (The Heavenly Mother).

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is a convention and exhibition centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and part of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre precinct, known as KLCC. Designed to be a "city within a city" this 40-hectare (99-acre) site includes the 50-acre (20 ha) KLCC Park and the PETRONAS Twin Towers.Hosting conferences, exhibitions, seminars, meetings and entertainment, the Centre is placed alongside public transportation and hotels.The Centre achieved HACCP certification in December 2006, and in February 2007 became the first convention centre in Asia to achieve 'Benchmarked' status by Green Globe, the global Benchmarking, Certification, and improvement system for sustainable travel & tourism. Aquaria KLCC, a 60,000 square feet (5,600 m) underwater park is located beneath the convention center.The convention center will host the 127th IOC Session in 2015 where the IOC will elect the host city of the 2022 Winter Olympics.
