Launched since 28th December,2009, Sun Moon Lake Ropeway provide cable car riding between Sun Moon Lake and Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village. During a seven-mintue ride, tourists may appreciate the scenery of Sun Moon Lake in different directions.

It is distinctive for its Formosan aboriginal culture theme. The park contains the tallest free-fall ride in Taiwan as well as Taiwan's largest European gardens and bell tower.

Sun Moon Lake (Chinese: 日月潭; pinyin: Rìyuètán; Wade–Giles: Jih-yüeh-t'an; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ji̍t-goa̍t-thâm; Zintun in the Thao language) is the largest body of water in Taiwan as well as a tourist attraction. Situated in Yuchi, Nantou, the area around the Sun Moon Lake is home to the Thao tribe, one of aboriginal tribes in Taiwan. Sun Moon Lake surrounds a tiny island called Lalu. The east side of the lake resembles a sun while the west side resembles a moon, hence the name.

Passing native forests, through towering gorges, you can immerse yourself in the fresh air and the scenic wild greenery of the Qingjing Veterans Farm.Facilities in the Farm include: the Tourist Center, the Green Green Grasslands, the Small Swiss Garden, the Recreation Center for visitors, the Shoushan Park, the Guest House and a Stock Nurturing Center. The working partners of the Farm are putting in all efforts to incorporate the Farm with nearby tourism projects, making it an attraction, to provide a cozy and enjoyable nature trip for all visitors.
